@yellow_fleurs, thank you for your enthusiasm regarding my little ECT composition. It's meant for prospective patients. I'm going to create a thread for it in the "Bipolar Treatments" sub-forum but to make it easier here it is. It's about a page and a half, single-spaced.

Narrative: ECT - Google Docs

I think it would be so helpful for people if you'd request that a mod allows your composition to be pinned to the treatments page.

It's lovely that you share about your ECT experience. Thanks, Daonnachd! And I love your illustration.

I also had my initial ECT treatments inpatient, for many of the reasons you cited.

Good idea. To whom would I make that request?

I had a wonderful session with my therapist...we were both angry about the tech issues that prevented us from having a session. My T spoke with the clinic director and I believe IT at the clinic will take the problem more seriously now. It is absolutely unacceptable for anyone to be unable to access their therapist, it could mean life or death in some cases.

There is a tree outside of my living room window that is in such glorious color, I cannot stop looking at it. It's as lovely as any spring flower. I hope it lasts for some days before the leaves fall.

I feel pretty sick today. Physically, like my stomach hurts and I feel like I’m going to throw up. I’m wondering if it’s the cough syrup, the antibiotic I’m on or the diet bars and shakes I’ve been eating. I also had a huge iced tea from Sonic. I feel ok mental health wise though. I’ve been worried about cancer or something else very wrong for awhile. I just get infections so easily. I’ve been getting them every month it seems. And I just feel so unwell all around. I’ve often wondered if that’s why my mental health has been bad. Because I keep getting physical stuff.

I’m so excited! Ski season has begun in Vermont! I’m not going any time soon because I loathe Killington, but winter is here!

Oh, Sapien, I'm so jealous. I wish I could go skiing. I haven't been on the slopes since 1988, if I remember correctly. I loved skiing.

My husband and I usually chose Vermont for skiing. It is so beautiful there. We usually went to Okemo (staying in Rutland), but occasionally Stowe. We would also do some cross country skiing, which I'm better at than downhill. I got a very late start. My husband, a Central European, skied from a very young age. I told him that perhaps his big Christmas gift will be a new set of skis. He's due for new ones. The last time he went skiing, someone made fun of them.

Thanks for reminding me about skiing. I just asked Hubby to look and see if they are cheaper to buy in the US or Czech Republic. That answer will determine where we buy them. I told him I want to get them for him, but really want him to choose them. I know little about them. I bet a $40 bill he's looking right now, because it would excite him.

I missed group yesterday because my ride never showed up, which was disappointing. But I had my Thanksgiving lunch the apartment complex gave out and it was really good, pictured below My care manager also messaged me and told me the agency is getting Christmas gifts for all their clients and asked me what I wanted so I said an adult coloring book, so I'm excited about that!

I slept late today and missed my morning meds. I've been feeling really tired the past few days and a little agitated but I think it's just PMS.

Anyway, I went to Family Dollar earlier and got some stuff I needed plus this snowman mug pictured below. Someone was in there buying all the cleaning products. I mean every last one. The cashier was like wow, that's a lot and the lady was like yeah just stocking up. I can't help but feel that's a little selfish, being prepared is one thing but buying up every last thing so no one else can get any of the things they actually need is a little much. Oh well.

I'm feeling much more relaxed and less stressed today. I hope I remain so. We talked to our real estate lawyer and things seem a little less scary.

I believe Fooze is the mod for this board. But the only way I know of to contact a mod is to click on the "report post" icon, which is the little red triangle icon with a black line inside of it. The icon is below the user name.

I would click on that icon and type out your request in the box that appears. (I've used it to ask questions, not to report posts.) A mod takes a day or 2 to respond.

Md, I'm not your doctor of course, but I seriously doubt you have cancer. I think your stomach is hurting because of all the otc stuff you often take, plus the antibiotic, and maybe the tea, too.

I'm sorry about your ride. That really sucks.

Your mug is cute and I agree about the person buying all the cleaning supplies. Last time there was the run on t.p. and cleaning supplies the store started putting signs up saying, "No more than 2 per household". It helped some.

@Mountaindewed, I agree with BethRags. What you've been consuming sounds like a strong potential cause of stomach issues. I'm not saying you should just ignore the issues, though, but I wouldn't immediately be that concerned about something as bad as cancer. You might want to talk to your doctor(s) about the cough syrup and antibiotic, or at least your pharmacist. I can say that neither my doctor nor pharmacist would ever want me to take cough syrup with my psych medications, or even an OTC medication like Tylenol Sinus/Allergy. And once when my psychiatrist learned I had been taking Sudafed a lot, I got my butt chewed out, and a particular pharmacist even refused to sell it to me. At the time, it seemed a shame because it worked great and made me feel wonderful, but it was ultimately drug abuse/self-medication. Having been down that road, I can tell you it's not a good one to walk.

I've learned that antibiotics often cause stomach distress in people. And depending on the tea, I sure think it could be a culprit. At least with the whole combo. In fact, I cannot drink plain hot black tea (i.e. orange pekoe/black, English breakfast, Earl Grey) without stomach distress. Or very strong black tea iced tea. I can only drink them with milk in them or very weak. Sometimes the combo of black tea and lemon juice is especially tough on my stomach. When I was much younger, I felt very sick when drinking it plain and/or with lemon juice. See point #4 in the article Side Effects of Tea: 9 Reasons Not to Drink Too Much

Your dinner looks good.

It drives me crazy when people buy up all the stock. Of anything. Whenever a new flavor of Mountain Dew comes out there’s always some people who buy up every thing the store has and then they brag on Reddit “found it! cleaned them out!” And they have a picture of their full cart.

Soupe, the information on tea is so interesting. No way can I drink tea without milk or cream in it. With all the supposed health benefits of green tea, I thought (some years ago) I'd start drinking it. Well, excuse me for being yucky, but the first time I drank it I felt so nauseous that I threw it up. Thought it was a fluke, so I drank it again some days later. Same reaction. Apparently green tea is not my thing.

The combination of tannin and caffeine in all teas (except pure herbal) is, in my opinion, not a terrific combo.
