Curious if anyone else here gravitates towards other cluster b personalities? In particular I seem to go towards NPD and AsPD personalities. Of course it's an absolutely terrible idea, in my experience. Yet I keep finding them and learning the same lessons over and over. Lol.

I can’t say that I do I typically gravitate towards introverts and people who are overly nice. I think it’s more common to gravitate towards NPDs and ASPD but that is just what I’ve read. Also I know a woman in my BPD group stated she often finds herself with NPD types but the others in the group didn’t feel that way.

Makes sense. I'm just curious. I actually seem to prefer the company of NPDs and AsPDs to BPDs. That's a lot of initials. Lol. I'm an intensely emotional person. Sometimes it's nice to be around the opposite. But I dont know that emotional polar opposites ever created a stable relationship. Fun certainly, but volatile.

I've been clingy towards very different people and don't really have a specific type I keep going back to. I gravitate towards pretty much anyone who is nice to me that I feel like I can trust in the slightest (sounds like it would be a lot of people, but it isn't because I don't trust easily). They don't have to be overly nice, heck sometimes they can be downright mean, as long as I feel like they intend to be nice/helpful... If that makes any sense at all.

There are certain types of people I tend to avoid in general even if they seem nice, but I will avoid posting that here because I don't want to offend anyone.

It is interesting though, because my current "favorite person" is someone I would have thrown onto the "do not friend" list and he has turned out to be an amazing friend despite the hardships.

Most of my life I was grateful for any guy that would give me a scrap of attention, no matter what they had. I'm sure a couple of them had cluster B traits but most of them were pretty neurotypical.

I see a horrible pattern in my life of drawing NPD to me. I have been with a total of 3, and in what I considered long term relationships with them. Each of them broke my heart so badly. I believed the last one was different, but slowly, ever slowly, the turned out to be another NPD.

I'd do anything to break that cycle and attract a man who is not a Cluster B. That doesn't seem to be possible, though. I can be attracted to other men, but the only ones who want anything to do with me are the Cluster B's.

I think other cluster b's gravitate towards me because I am an easy target or I was anyways. I like to think I've left it behind me.
