Time and again this lesson comes up for me... I need to manage my expectations of people. I tend to build expectations in my mind and then I am inevitably disappointed when the expectations aren’t met... and it’s impossible to truly appreciate the good people in my life and the nice things people do when I spend too much time focusing on the crappy things that happen...
