What were some of the things that led you to the diagnosis of BPD? I've been diagnosed with depression and anxiety, but I think there's something else going on with me. I feel like I need my life to be f***ed up. I'm either depressed or in the throes of substance abuse, or eating disorders. I get acutely suicidal at times, though I've never attempted anything. Should I be asking for more testing from my therapist to see if I might have some sort of BPD, or am I just stuck in this need to be messed up? I'm so confused.

I’m in this process to go on being evaluated. I chose to make sure about if I have some borderline traits, the whole disorder or what.
Anyway, I think you have the right to ask for what you need, in that case, to know for sure if you’re within the borderline pd spectrum.
Knowledge is power, isn’t it?
I’ve been also diagnosed with the same as you: Anxiety and depression. But, I know bpd is a very tricky one because, just with only considering that it’s a mood disorder and characterised by instability in any level of the personality, It doesn’t strange to me that a patient can have even doubts noticing and expressing in therapy what’s going on with him.
Luck, in your process!
