Default Hopefully this will work

Usually Iíll get a new regimen and at first itís pretty hopeful, then it falls flat and I have an episode. My doc went ahead and prescribed Haldol and Lamictal. So far I am sooooo much calmer and overall the racing thoughts has also gotten better. I havenít slept though but maybe for 3hrs in the past 2 days, at night I seem to get restless and start checking outside paranoid or pacing around just to move, Idk. I am on a starting dose so hopefully thatíll work itself out.

Hello airbornemedic: I believe this was your first post here on PC. (I see you also have a subsequent post in the new members introductions forum.) Anyway... I just thought I'd leave a quick reply here to say welcome to Psych Central. I hope you're finding PC to be of benefit.

BPD, Bipolar, C-PTSD; the symptoms are lovely. I have a problem where I go to the doc and I almost put on a character to sound smart and knowledgeable, I also forget to tell him the smaller problems I deal with; then I go home and peek out the windows constantly(example) and somehow forget to mention lol. I believe I am Schizophrenic along with everything else I do or believe or say.

CPTSD is enough to deal with without all the rest. I hope you get the help you need.

That's definitely a lot to deal with. Are you in therapy too? I've been trying meds with my PCP (who's pretty clueless) for 2 years and saw a couple therapists that weren't very helpful, but I've finally managed to find one who is, and I'm seeing a psychiatrist at the same clinic so they're on the same page, and I'm hoping the combination will finally make a difference. Started a group yesterday too.

Iíve avoided therapy because the idea of talking about it(Afghanistan)in the past (2014ish) seemed to always keep it fresh, thatís when I was really losing a grip on reality, thinking I was back over there type of stuff. Plus Iím just very to myself these days, Iíd also feel vulnerable because Iíd think theyíd be conspiring against me.

Welcome to the forum. I hope that this regimen works for you, youíve got a lot to deal with. I feel the same way about forgetting to tell my psychiatrist about the day to day things. Heís so busy and I feel like heís just in a rush to push my meds and get me on my way.
