I believe that the majority of people who have been diagnosed with bpd or who have bpd traits... and I also believe that it can be a misdiagnosis. Cptsd ...do not hurt people on purpose. But there is still a huge stigma re this diagnosis, including in professional circles. I think that most people with bpd try to be kind and loving .... but it saddens me when I notice people, especially some professionals being blaming, manipulative, cruel... because of ? I don’t know.. their own diagnosis and disowned darkness

I send care and respect to all who have ever been treated badly because of having CPTSD, bpd, or being an HSP (highly sensitive person)

Maybe together we can educate those who have .... their own issues....

Fuzzy

Hugs to everyone here. I do not have BPD, but I have wanted to understand and have read extensively about it. So much pain. Sending positivity to you all.

I do have my own issues: disabled attorney/study work career GONE.

Bipolar 1 with rapid cycling psychosis. Zero remission over ten years.

C-PTSD. Agoraphobia. Social Anxiety Disorder. OCD. Panic disorder. GAD.

Severe chronic pain for 27 years. No cure.

I also have Pica and ... well, I am underweight but it is a complex challenge issue. Anorexia, technically.

I think that is most of it. I have chronic migraines and IBS.

Look I work in community mental health as a peer support specialist. MOST of my referrals are dxd with personality disorders mostly bpd. It’s such a freaking common diagnosis it’s crazy! I think I’m lucky because I have a unique perspective in knowing how it feels to experience bpd in my personal life!!

I think it helps for people to be aware and know. Is there anything specific you would like to know?
