I'm the spouse of a person with BPD. We have two kids, 12 and 15 years old. I don't know how to protect them from her rage. Please advise.

Hello TitoM: Thank you for bringing your concern here to PC. I noticed this is your first post here. So... welcome to Psych Central. One additional forum, here on PC, that may be of interest to you would be the partners of people forum. Here's a link:
https://psychcentralforums.com/partn...ivers-support/ I don't believe I can be of much help with regard to your concern. Hopefully there will be other PC members who will have advice they can offer. In the meantime though here are links to 8 articles, from Psych Central's archives, that (hopefully) may be of some help: Living with & Loving Someone with Borderline Personality Disorder Loving Someone with Borderline Personality Disorder Borderline Personality: 7 Powerful Ways Families Can Cope With Traits | Caregivers, Family & Friends Borderline Personality Disorder: 8 Ways Families Can Worsen Symptoms | Caregivers, Family & Friends https://blogs.psychcentral.com/careg...dium=popular17 https://psychcentral.com/lib/how-to-...dium=popular17 https://psychcentral.com/lib/how-to-...dium=popular17 https://pro.psychcentral.com/exhaust...eaction-cycle/ I hope you find PC to be of benefit. __________________ "I may be older but I am not wise / I'm still a child's grown-up disguise / and I never can tell you what you want to know / You will find out as you go."
