Hi y'all! I am a 26 year old female who was diagnosed with BPD at 14 years old. There for a little while (2 years ago until just last year) I felt I had finally kicked my BPD to the curb for good. I was off of medication, using HEALTHY coping mechanisms, and I was in control of my actions and reactions.

15 months ago I entered into my current relationship.. 4 months into it we found out we were expecting 💖 6 months into our relationship and 3 months into my pregnancy we began having his older children full time. About halfway through my pregnancy I started working full time as well. Things were going GREAT... Until the begining of February when I had my first major BPD episode in over 2 years. This ended with him facing possible felony charges and moving out. Since then I have lost control of my reactions to my feelings more frequently than I even did when I was first diagnosed with this disorder.. It started at once a month and now we have reached a once a week blow up 😞

He has asked me about seeing a doctor and beginning to take meds again. My question here is: what medications and coping mechanisms work for you?

I have been on a.plethora of different medications and only one worked even slightly. (Ability) the thing with that was however the side effects.. The drowziness. The weight gain. And the fact that while it did stabilize my roller coaster it kept me at a very low point rather than somewhere in the middle.

I am a new mom. I went from zero children to 3 in the past 15 months.
I work full time.

There are days where it all comes pretty easily and there are days where controlling my impulsive feelings and my frustration when a trigger is hit is just not possible.

I don't recognize myself in the mirror, I don't recognize my voice; its as if I'm watching someone else's life unfold before my eyes. my thoughts have began racing even more than ever before and the moment I feel even slightly rejected by my SO or our children I lash out.

Its causing serious issues between me and my SO. I would love to know what you found works best for you so maybe I can do some research and come to the table with suggestions for my doctor.

Any help would be lovely!
