So since I finished the DBT group for a couple of months now. I learnt vaildating other people and also asking people questions in a socail setting. Since I have socail anxeity. But what I've notice is I vaildate these people I know say through Facebook messager and ask them questions. Which they answer too. But I never get vaildation back or even ask how I am doing.
I'm starting to feel drained. It takes a lot of effort to think carefully how to vaildate someone make sure I'm not dismissing them. So it takes a lot of brain power put of me. I dont know what to do. Or meet people that give and take back forth to each other. Or what I'm doing wrong in my communication. |

Are these people you hang out with too? Or are they internet only friends?

I use to hang out with these people 10 years but seeing them has been off and on. Well I haven't hang with them since 2017.
So I usually message them. But since I've done DBT I realised one of them is just dismissive. Just talks about themselves. The other doesnt seem to ever to reply but they do this to other people too. The other one well she never know or hang that crowd of people I know that I've described above. But she seems to feed off my vaildation I find it draining. I don't know why. The other one was in my DBT group we became friends but they would message you for a while then about whole week suddenly just stops you wont hear until maybe 2 weeks or 3 weeks. then you think oh gosh did I offended them? Then they message you to tell you they had a bad week say a cold or stress at studying. Other than that I dont hang out with anyone accwor my partner. I have really bad socail anxiety. . |
