I was dismissed and discredited by professionals in my location in real life. Several times. I was not diagnosed as having this disorder but my concerns were repeatedly dismissed in cruel and invalidating ways. I suspect strongly this happens to many in my location. And not only to those who have been lablelled, correctly or otherwise, with this disorder. It has left me more confused, afraid, sad, angry and wishing I was no longer in this reality.

Sorry others have made you feel that way, Mountainstream. Finding a good, skilled, knowledgeable pro is indeed very hard...and seeking out one can cause so much damage.
