Hello friends,

With bpd, I'm finding it hard to put myself out there and make new friends. Since I dropped out of college, I don't talk to any of those people anymore. After a few bad relationships, I moved back near where I grew up. Moving back to my hometown is lonely and I just can't seem to get out there and make any new friends or find someone to talk to. Going to bars isn't really my thing, I'm not big into the church thing, and people at work seem to be all cliqued up already. I'm just struggling to find young people my age to talk to. I'm also afraid that I'll start scaring people away with my emotional stuff. It's happened before and it hurts. What have others found helpful in finding friends and navigating through the swings of bpd?

Hello lattelover: I'm sorry I'm not going to be able to offer anything of any consequence regarding your concern. (Hopefully there will be other PC members who will have ideas they can share.) However I noticed this is your first post here on PC & you had yet to be greeted. So...welcome to Psych Central.

One additional forum, here on PC, that may be of interest to you would be the Relationships & Communication forum. Here's a link:
