my friend bethany had BPD.

a lot of the time our conversation didn't really focus on it. we'd talk about music, tv, the world in general, and when it did get to the stage she wasn't coping, I just made sure I was their for her, made sure she felt safe, made sure I highlighted all her positive features and qualities, but also gave her what she needed. if she told me she wanted space, I gave her it- more often than not she'd tell me later I am so sorry for earlier, I didn't mean it, then I'd just reasure her she was absolutely fine, had nothing to apologize for, and that it isn't her fault.

being their for her was really the main point and what made our friendship so strong. she knew she could talk to me without judgement
