I figured we could use a place to check in and chat throughout the day and give support to each other, it would be cool to get this forum more active.

My name is Blue_Bird you can call me blue or b, or whatever works for you.

I have struggled with bulimia for a little over two years now. Didn't get diagnosed until this past year because I never brought it up to my therapists/doctors in the pasts.

I recently went about 4 months straight of no bingeing or purging but relapsed 12 days ago. Working to get over it again.

How is everyone doing? Anny hobbies you have?

I'm doing pretty good. Ate a bit much today but did not binge thankfully. I'm learning to listen to my body more and eat when I'm actually hungry and not when I'm already full.

Anyway hope some people join in

Absolutely...this is a glitch, not disaster or failure, etc. Being gentle and showing ourselves compassion is part of it all, right? I've had a history of bulimia (on and off for just over 20 years) I relapsed last year briefly...I share wanting to make this forum more active. Thanks for starting up the thread....it's a challenge (bulimia) however, with support, imo, it can be given the red card x

Doing good. Fell off the wagon a few times since my last post but doing a lot better recently. 26 days without b/p. I have much better self control over my food intake now, and am exercising a lot (not over exercising )

How is everyone? Anyone...Daily Check In/Chat Thread #1

Next time I go shopping I'm getting some daily multivitamins to start taking. Trying to be healthy all around this year

Being Bulimic is miserable. I sat alone for New Years Eve with no special food like a Lobster or pizza that I eat once a year on New Years Eve and no Champagne because well alcohol triggers me even more and I did not want to throw up a expensive lobster or even throw up pizza so I spent the night fighting the urges in my head and watching thriller movies on Netflix as a distraction. It took everything not to even eat. What miserable night.

All I think of is binging and purging and all my energy goes in to fighting it. I have been 3 days clean. I have never been more than 4 weeks clean. Therapy has never worked for the eating disorder.

I'm doing well. I'm on day 41 of no b/p.

I started college (just 1 class ) have been going to my day treatment program a few days a week, and have been going to my church program every week.

It is helping me to be busy. Normally I am just sitting in the house all day obsessing about food and constantly being drawn to the refrigerator. I have a lot more things to occupy my mind right now so I'm thankful for that.

Wow, day 41....awesome.

I'm also AN-R/BP type. This is a huge accomplishment, keep going if you can, I suspect it may get easier with lots of well-nurtured time. I stopped purging once, it was horrific. I purged everything though, for years beforehand...I'm a mixed bag now. I know I can stop, it's the 'want' that interferes.

I can barely make it past a day with this condition! 😡 It gets bad when my menstrual comes around. I feel and look bloated all the time which triggers me to throw up, even though I'm pretty sure the throwing up is causing my abdomen bloating. But I hate that full and tight feeling on my stomach. Does it affect my weight? Yeah...I'm GAINING no matter what I eat or don't eat, so not even sure why I can't stop. My chest hurts and I'm getting stabbing pains on my right side. Sigh... Does anyone have any suggestions on 1) how to get my mind off food 2) how to heal my body?

Thank you!

Not doing good today. I’ve been really sad. I’ve been in depression and I couldn’t stand feeling what I was feeling emotionally so I purged. I don’t want to feel anything right now but I’m starting to feel awful again. I want to b/p so bad but I can’t ‘cause my family is sharing one car right now and if I’m out of the house for too long, my family gets suspicious. I will bp though. Hopefully soon Daily Check In/Chat Thread #1 I’m so anxious. I can’t wait much longer.
