Hi everyone. Happy New Year. One of the topics we can cover in the Depression and Anxiety Support Chat (Thursdays 8PM-9PM EST) is mindfulness.
I have found mindfulness comes in many different forms and styles. I have tried a secular approach that is experiential and incorporates some short youtube videos with the discussion. Hope to see you later on at the discussion in the Chat Rooms on the bar. If you do not see the bar and you are on a computer, then you may not have the 5 approved chats necessary to access that. Thank you. How does one join a chat? Is it in the popup window in the right bottom corner on the site? Or is this planned chat somewhere else? I didn't even know there's a chat with planned topics. I've been reading the forum since summer 2017 and I haven't noticed this DD I'm truly ignorant"

Hi seeker. Probably my bad I got lazy and did not make chat announcements So this year my New Year's resolution is to make chat announcements.
First if you want to see the calendar on the blue bar above click on Calendar or this link may work if you have more than 10 posts which you do https://forums.psychcentral.com/calendar.php Then in the lower corner of the browser if you are on a computer, there is a bar with Chat Rooms on that bar. Then click on Chat Rooms and there are 4 choices, CoffeeHouse, Emotional Support, Adult and Auditorium (Every other Tuesday DocJohn founder of Psych Central does a Q&A on mental health issues and relationships) If there are any other moderated discussion they have a unique name. Mine lately has been Depression and Anxiety coping with mindfulness.
