don't get me wrong, I love cartoons- they are a bit of a coping method for me

but I struggle watching cartoons where the characters are playing outside, or out on a trip with their family- because it reminds me of everything I didn't get as a child.. everything I missed

anyone else

One specific cartoon--Family Guy. I can't stand to watch it. It will send me into full-blown PTSD flashbacks.

It's awkward and cringey more for me.

My nephew watches cartoons like peppa pig and family's channels on youtube, it makes me feel weird because he's watching what a family should be like, but I know for a fine fact in our family he won't get that kind of emotional attention.
