The Trauma Disorder You May Not Have Heard About

I hope this link comes out right so members can read it. I am posting this in the CEN forum because many have experienced not only CEN but were traumatized by it having no one to help them.

One thing this doesn't discuss is how a sibling can traumatize a child and the child struggles quietly. Also, this fails to discuss how even as an adult this same sibling can be abusing and traumatizing them and it causes them to struggle and suffer as was the case when they were a child too.

This is something I have been dealing with myself and it's been SO TOXIC that it's been extremely triggering and my older sister is worse than ever and took money from my parents who recently passed and is choosing to blame what she took on me.

Thank you for the link. I'm just reading another article about CEN.

I was traumatised by CEN since I was not only neglected but had no one to help me....

"There is the somatic level of the work, the need to regulate and retrain the nervous system and body that the world is safe and to help it calm down and respond appropriately versus in default."

I keep hearing that.

That I have a "misconception" that the world is not safe. But, Honestly, please help me understand in simple terms, HOW can the world be understood as safe? Especially when you don't have any support and low self efficacy? What is the definition of "safe" in this context? If I find myself in need, of say, money, to pay my bills, and I fail to come up with it, will I not lose my home? Land on the streets? Go hungry? The world doesn't care about poor people who have no one. They ridicule you and let you die. What is safe about that?
