I have been posting regularly here, please check out my post in PTSD. I know I am not being rational but maybe the field of medicine is full of crap and doesn't know their mule from their elbow!

Well my PHARMACIST understands better than the MD!
The latest paperwork given out with my narcotic painkiller states that it's best used in the way I have been using it to manage my pain, which is NOT the way the MD scribes it I feel my MD just doesn't want me as a patient and is trying to run me off, but I can't do that as I would be without any pain med. __________________ |

Well Sky I have to admit I am scared about cold turkey the other meds, the pain meds just means a lot of pain since I don't take them every day. I got my print out and have done the math, circled when it was the horrid shoulder thing and have it ready to mail. I expect I will be getting a call come Monday. I feel badly as I emailed T who is VERY concerned that I gave MD the anti-depressants. I am way triggered. Taking my tumeric and tylenol. If the diazapine family works for people going off alcohol then alcohol will work for me going off diazapine. So, I will have to start small doses of alcohol if I feel withdrawals from Clonazapam. Pain today is okay. Took a thousand mg tylenol so far, due for more. Can't hit near 4000 if I am doing alcohol as I am attached to my liver.

Hi Wisewoman,
I am so worried for you. You are doing it without any tapering and that can be dangerous. I know that you feel the medical profession has let you down but I hate for you to have to be the one suffering. Your MD isn't going to feel the pain, you are. I am hoping for the best for you and hoping that your pain will be less. Good luck to you, Linda __________________ What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger. |

Boopers and everyone, I got my meds back yesterday. Started again everything and took 3 pain pills throughout the day. I am feeling better emotionally and physically. Knock on wood, I appear to be out of the back pain for now. I am really sleepy because I went back on the other meds as prescribed and because my body went through a lot in 3.5 days. I also took a flexeril last night and slept like a baby. I am scheduled for pain clinic on Jan 8th and I am sched for PT to start friday.
I do not know what if anything will happen with this doc, I have had a trust broken and that is difficult. I am disappointed that I hurt myself in a ptsd reaction and I am ready to deal with the pain differently. I will be devoting a lot of energy to P.T. Thanks everyone. |
