I'm hurting so bad there are no words. My anxiety is eating me alive and it causes me to hurt even more than normal. My pain causes anxiety and my anxiety causes pain and around and around it goes.....eating me alive in the process. I've tried many pain creams.....Mountain Magic is my favorite as it acts right away but only lasts 30 minutes at best. Tiger Balm kicks in about 10 minutes after application for me and works pretty good but fades pretty quickly. Ben Gay is just ok. Those Icy Hot patches work pretty good but are so expensive considering I have so many areas to treat.

What is your favorite pain cream? I'm wondering if there is anything out there which works better than what I've tried so far. My doctor prescribed lidocaine patches but they didn't work at all.....Icy Hot patches were far superior for me. I wish Icy Hot came in a full body wrap and wasn't so expensive.

Hi ElsaMars.I can feel for you.I have a lower back slipped disc which prevents me from walking normal & not too much.Pain 24/7.I can understand about the anxiety, anger, depression.Enough about my problem.Have you tried capsasin? (sp) It gets real hot & if you use too much it will burn like hell! If you do try it,get the 25% capsasin & not the 75%.It isn't expensive-maybe $6 or $7.The pepper spray the police use is made with this.I hope it helps. It works for my wife with a bad knee.

I've never tried capsaicin but you've got me interested and I will. I will try the lower strength as suggested. I'm sorry you have chronic pain too. So many of us in this world are suffering so badly! They need better treatments for chronic pain.

I have found a cream called "Penetrex" very helpful.

I helps neuropathic pain, too, which is severe pain.

It's available at Walmart, Amazon and Penetrex.com
It's a bit pricey. I feel it's worth every penny.
(It's much less costly than compounded creams made by a compounding pharmacist.)

It helps me upon the first application. It helps me more the more applications.
It's considered a topical anti-inflammatory. It's been a favorite of mine for over a year now.

Penetrex has a money-back guarantee.

I am sorry you suffer.

When I was working in therapy clinics we used BioFreeze which is supposed to be better than other topical products (I guess it is a gel? Hard to describe). I haven't tried it myself but I know a lot of patients really liked it.

I liked the lidocaine patches as well as icy hot patches. I had nerve pain and was on many narcotics as well. Thank god that the surgery fixed the nerve pain and now I'm not in pain 24/7. I do get pain but it goes away if I sit down. So I've gain a ton of weight from inactivity that contributes to pain when I'm active!

Which Tiger Balm do you use ? Red or White

I use the White due to an allergy I can't use the Red but I believe with higher levels of clove oil the red is meant to be the stronger of two. But won't hurt to try both and see if one is better for you than the other.

I like Biofreeze too. I have a gel but it usually falls on the floor! The easiest is the roll on that's just like a roll on deodorant. It doesn't last long enough for me but worked better than Lidocaine.

I've become terribly anxious because of my sciatica/ spinal stenosis. Yes, anxiety leads to pain, which leads back to anxiety! It sucks!! I'm on Savella but too small a dose so far. It's an antidepressant and also for fibromyalgia (not sure I have that but should help for nerve pain). I can't sit or lie down without pain. Opposite of most. Driving is very hard.

I agree with you. I type "guided meditation pain" and a few come up. I really like Jason Stephenson's hypnosys. The voice needs to click with you. Thank you for sharing this great idea. It may help many people.

Here are two you could check out :
Blue Lotion linament for horses
Chinese oil
Bot have salicylic acid which means you can't take Advil or Aspirin at the same time.
Good luck.
