Vortex, wish I could send you some of our rain. I think I'm starting to grow webs between my toes.

Cake, gotta agree with Gus. You are a nicer person than I am. I don't think I could have been so kind to the nasty neighbors.

I had one of "those" nights last night. Had trouble falling asleep. Reflux woke me after about 30 minutes of sleep. After chucking my cookies I couldn't get back to sleep. At least the cats enjoy it when I can't sleep. It means they get more cuddle time.

Boomer seems a bit better. Let's hope the antibiotics work. Between vet bills and repairs to the truck I have been hemorrhaging money the last month or so.

This is my first post in this forum. I have chronic pain and that forum is kind of slow. Although I can understand why . Sometimes it takes real effort just to post something. I haven’t been diagnosed with fibromyalgia but I have a feeling that I can relate. Also know people that do. I just wanted to say that after reading many comments here I realize that I also feel like I’m “ lazy”, if I don’t “do” anything. I haven’t been able to work for years and it has demoralized me so much , making me feel useless and worthless. I found that I’m alway”tense”.
I cannot relax unless I’m drugged and I don’t want to be drugged anymore.
I try several various methods to relax my muscles but am unsuccessful.
Problem being that the tension and pain cause me to not be able to concentrate very well. It’s hard. I can’t stop thinking about what I’m feeling all the time.
This viscous cycling is constant. I just wanted to share that with you guys and I hope you don’t mind. Best to all.....

continuosly blue, welcome to the thread. Folks at PC are great, but the folks who post here are the best. No worries that you haven't been diagnosed with fibro. Not everyone who posts here has been.

What have you tried for your pain/tension so far? Someone here might have a helpful suggestion.

Kudos to myself. I'm exhausted from no sleep last night, but had the sense to stay in the house and do light tasks around the house today. And I'm not guilting myself for being "lazy"!

I feel unsteady today

just trying to make the most of things... this morning my mother emailed me threatening me, and I did well- I ignored her and didn't give her the time of day

yeah it triggered me, but not as much as it would have triggered me if I had replied

Vortex, I'd send you some cooler weather, but we don't have any to share. Temps and humidity both in the 90s here.

This is absolutely beautiful Gus! Thank you for posting it!

So I made the appt for the evaluation with the surgeon... a week from today. I'm freaking out a bit inside. Mostly about pain meds and surgery even tho I haven't even seen him yet and don't know what he would want to do, whether he would want new images or how invasive surgery would be, etc. Idk, just nervous to talk to him.

entire body locked on me this afternoon

I was outside stroking a friend's dog, came in- and just collapsed with the pain- ended up shifting to my side just because it was the only part of me that didn't hurt.

I'm not really sure how long I was in that position, somewhere along the line I remember watching a bit of a programme about africa, but most of the time just screaming

I'm still in lots of pain.. just being careful, or trying to be.

(and as I type this my back feels like it's going to click)

you know the feeling where you feel it's going to click, but it won't actually click?

that.

ah well going to dinner in a minit if I can make it their. sure I can

some days i can barely stand long enough to make a sandwich, so i can relate, RV... today it's snacking, cold strawberries, baby spinach and garden greens salad, and cocktail shrimp.... when it cools off, i might consider some noodle soup (already made out of left over roast, veggies and ramen noodles).

hope you find something that helps~

Have been sensible for two days in a row now!

I'm really worn out from all the work I did outside Thursday and Friday. Not sleeping night before last didn't help. I spent today tend to some inside projects I had. Would work at them til I started to feel tired, then take a break. It's a big deal for me to have the sense to not push until I crash and burn.

I just got up to go to toilet and wish I hadn't.

started my pain off again- really severe

wish I'd just stayed sitting on my chair, then though- if you gotta go, you gotta go, and I don't really want a puddle on the floor. lol

the sounds I am making though.... really difficult to describe. lots of pain
