Our weather has been weird. Hot one minute then cold and winds like you would not believe. I don't know if I am coming or going. My brother in law is in the hospital he had his surgery and they said it was a success but he still can't swallow and he can't lift his head up and his arms are numb and tingly so are his fingers. So they looked and listened this time and he was just dx with ALS. So now we have to have a family meeting with doctors and stuff because they want him out of the hospital but he can't live alone. So it looks like he might be coming to my house again. Lord help me I don't know how I a, going to manage.

Positive vibes and hugs to everyone. I hope we hear from Jan soon

spent most of last night in agony which sucked, because as well as not sleeping, I had to deal with not being able to be a good position

I am still very depressed and very unmotivated, not helping things along

still hurting as well so not a great sunday

entirely wasted day

overate, then threw myself on the bed and watched winnie the pooh

pain.... bleh.... neither good or bad

I'd like to know why sometimes when I'm in pain it feels like I'm 10 feet off the ground. it would be interesting to know if anyone else here ever gets that- sort of like a floaty sensation (complete with ears that are trying to go)

should have done more today but blah

this is me we're talking about here

the most exciting thing I do is drink a can of coke from a bottle and not a can

my back is really really stiff

feels dead almost (and I never thought I'd use a body part and dead in the same sentence)

Still hurting from the surgery, but its getting better.

The pain is really making me depressed, though. I don't want to do anything... I just want to stay home and sit on the computer or sleep all the time... I need to stay moving and not take the pain meds (the heavy duty ones) as often as I had been.

I need to taper off them as soon as possible. Which means being in pain part of the day... which means being more depressed all the time. I hate this. I don't want to keep doing this... I wish the pain would just go away...

I don't deal with fibromyalgia or chronic pain, so I don't really know what you all are going through. But I was just wondering if anyone has tried Eastern medicine (such as acupuncture) for chronic pain. I have heard sometimes it can be just as effective as pain meds but without the addiction. Just a thought.

I had my shower today.

pain was bad (reminds herself to get her shower chair working), not to mention I felt so gross afterwards (same old body issues)

I'm less stiff today though which is one thing. for the past 2/3 days I have been really stiff

I am in so much pain today.

so bad it is almost like a burning sensation

I'd say the worst it's been in a while, but then... I don't know. it's not as bad as when I just shook with pain

This is sort of tangential to fibro in that stress adds to my pain. The whole assault "stuff" that's been in the news has my blood pressure through the roof. Not going to get into it here because what I have to say is not appropriate for this forum. Wanted to say I have a new post in my blog. Be ware that my language is strong as are my opinions expressed.

I have decided that someone really needs to invent something for your back that you can wear and it's an anti- pain mask

so that when you make sudden movements to a position you feel good in, you don't scream with agony in the process

I am taking it to dragons den (English show where they get money for starting companies)

could do with the money anyway. I'm broke. lol
