Do any of the rest of you have nausea and vomiting when you're in lots of pain? Alas, I'm having that with knee pain even though I take a boatload of pain pills.

I am so sorry you are going through this!
Have you checked in with your primary care doc about this? WC __________________ May we each fully claim the courage to live from our hearts, to allow Love, Faith and Hope to enLighten our paths. |

I'll try to remember to mention it to her when I see her on Wednesday. I've had it with knee pain in the past. And I hope it will end with my surgery. At any rate, it's definitely no fun.

Reckon it could be related to the medications?
My PCP wrote me a script and it gave me intense nausea along with a headache that felt like my brain was on fire and blurred vision all within 8 hours of the first dose! Needless to say that was a one and done deal on that script as I cannot stand to even feel as if I'm gonna throw up ... I'd rather deal with the pain as bad as that sucks itself most days. No easy answers, are there? |

Me thinks the same a pfrog. Could be the pain medication. Codine is a no no for me as is mersyndol. Try a different pain med. Next time you are at the docs maybe ask them for an antiemtic - something to stop the nausea and vomiting.

When my body is in chronic pain I definitely experience nausea. It feels like my entire system is completely overwhelmed. Sometimes I take a 1/2 tablet of non-drowsy Dramamine and sip some ginger ale to help soothe the queasiness.
