Well I survived another trip to Florida and back.

My breathing was improving but a gazillion cars and pollution have me back to wheezeville.

While bringing in our luggage and that damn heavy oxygen concentrator I have really hurt my back. I just wanted to get it done quickly , he was getting our well turned back on and replacing whole house filter.

My husband had to help me get up out of bed !!!! So embarrassing

I’m hoping my back heals quickly !

Fibro is as expected with strange beds and 12-18 hours in the car.

Just to update everyone, it's been weeks since I reached out to Cakelady. Still no answer. I'm hoping this means she's either to busy to respond or has moved on from PC, but am afraid it means something bad.

Hey Liz thanks for asking.

I’m still pretty banged up back wise, that’s all my fault so....

My breathing is getting better. I just hope it’s better enough when I see my rheumatologist for him to start a different biologic. Of course it usually takes a few weeks for my damn insurance to agree to cover it, it’s crazy most biologics are 1200.00 a month and up !!!! If paying cash , which who can do that anyway ?!? Then it takes a couple months to see if it will help.. hurry up and wait wait wait.

My god I will beg him to do injections on my right hand middle finger , no it’s not from over use in Florida LOL ! It just feels like lava and hard blinding shooting pains almost constant now. All my joints feel awful but wow this finger is like a tooth ache.

I also fear something has happened to cakelady she had a lot of serious health problems and also a lot of nonsense with family members too

How’s the work going at your Mom’s place??? I hope somehow you have been able to pace yourself a bit better, but I understand you wanting to get it done and over with.

Gentle hugs

Ok Rheumatologist and I decided to try Xeljanz 5mg twice a day. So they need to get it authorized and that usually take a few weeks my insurance company loves dragging there feet on anything expensive and this is one of them... cash price is 4,915.00 per month ?!?!? Who in the holy hell could pay that. ( insert rant on big Pharma here)

This medication is a pill and not an injection but it carries the same risk of lowering my ability to fight infections etc etc but that’s fine I just need the pain to ease.

My Body has been telling me for days a cold front is coming and my weather guy confirmed it. Saturday more rain and then 35+- drop in temp. Oh joy

Gentle hugs for you @~Christina ...

I envision a special place in the hot spot for people profiting off of people's pain like BIG Pharma does.

Hope your insurance company starts stepping a little livelier so you can get the relief you need.

Battling a cold these past few days so a little achier than usual, but ...

NyQuil, egg drop soup and lots of rest seems to be helpful.

Like you, definitely not looking forward to the arrival of this cold front with it's cold rain!

Wood burning stove is prepped and ready to go!

I'll toss a log in there for you and @lizardlady and hope it (along with some good thoughts) brings y'all some relief too!

Hi all. Haven't posted in awhile. My head was in a bad place. Didn't want to inflict it on anyone else. Thanks to a screw up by my insurance company I went without one of my antidepressants for almost three weeks over the holiday. The beast got loose. I was starting to crash. Got the problem sorted out and am back on all meds. The beast is back in its cage.

The cold front that's been blasting the rest of the country is about to hit here. Needless to say, fibro is acting up.

Whine, whine, whine ... I even have some cheese to go with it.

Thanks Pfrog ! We are in the teens tonight , tomorrow sunny and 30something which will be okay as long as it’s not windy.

Liz, I am sorry your insurance. Impact did that. It’s crazy !! Takes so much time to find something that works and then boom there screw up can set you back and generally make life miserable. Hope you get back to stable ground quickly.

Yes the cold front .... ugh my body is on fire yet it feels like someone is peeling off layers of my skin and deep to the bone ache ... it’s just all so very ridiculous. My heating pad it getting a work out for sure

Gentle hugs

Okay, so THAT PAIN, THE SOB is acting up in my leg again.

Must be related to sciatic nerve?

Runs the full length of the leg and I can only get relief if I sit or lay a certain way.

As soon as I'm up and about though, DAYUM!

I've noticed that sometimes there's a shift of some sort - like something gets thrown out of whack ...

When it's out of whack this pain comes on pfast & pfurious, but once it gets itself back in whack, it's instantly better.

So I'm hoping it gets back in whack sooner than later!

Hey all!

Got the med thing straightened out. Am back on an even keel again.

Cold front got here. I'm preaching to the choir about its impact. Add to that one of the walking petri dishes (kids) I work with me gave me a digestive bug. I spent the weekend having a close personal relationship with my toidy. Managed to keep some cream o' wheat and scrambled eggs in me today.

Pfrog, what you described sounds like sciatic pain. I find liniment patches on my lower back help.

Pfrog ... I agree sciatica . It’s miserable , I take ibuprofen and my heating pad and tons of pillows to tuck here and there to finally get some relief.... I find it .... then I usually have to go pee

Liz, I hate that your kids need to constantly share their funk !! Can you keep Lysol handy and spray your office and chairs etc as you back out of the room and go take a break ?? Sorry your weekend was ruined stay warm !

Our high was 22 today...25-26 for tomorrow. Wednesday upper 30’s finally.
