So glad that this semester has finally come to an end.

The stress of the route I drove the past two semesters proved to be too much for my physical (and emotional) health.

My chronic pain levels went off the chart, and I now have pain in joints I did not have pain in before.

The anger and frustration from all the reckless drivers I encountered caused my blood pressure to become elevated.

Not to mention the deep depression and despondency brought on by all the extra pain.

Here's hoping that most of this corrects itself now that I'm no longer driving THAT route.

Needless to say, I won't ever pick it ever again.

My pain is off the charts. The fog is so bad I feel like the Scarecrow in Wizard of Oz (no brain).

I am considering medical MJ but know nothing about it. I have heard that its expensive here. I have a small rx for a low dose opiate but I am not comfortable with this being the treatment option.

Yesterday & Today Be Like ...

Fibromyalgia Check-In Thread #5 ...

Kinda gotta accept the blame though, because ...

What studies have shown about sugars and how they impact inflammation and pain are soooo true!

I treated myself to a turtle sundae at Culver's on Wednesday and BAM!!!

Just like that ... Ow! Ow! Ow!

I will have to reserve treats like that for very rare and special occasions!

Is and isn't kinda worth it in a conflicted sort of way ... Know what I mean?

I think I may have and abdominal hernia again but one that goes in and out. The one I had in 2013 was only found during exploratory surgery because they never were able to feel it on examination. So I am going to make an appointment but I worry that I will be told its nothing. Like I feel it especially when I use the bathroom (sorry). Would a cat scan show it?

My favorite chair at work is no more!

It was light weight & the arm rests were the perfect height to help me ease myself in and out of said chair.

Some people find it difficult to comprehend just how painful moving heavier objects around can be.

Alas, it had gotten old and worn and was no longer aesthetically pleasing to the eye so off to surplus it went!

I am actually a little sad and weepy over this.

I'm sure some of my coworkers think I'm a whiny-@$$, but I don't care ...

They'll never understand ""IT" unless they've got "IT", but I hope they never have "IT" so they'll be able to understand "IT" ...

Pfrog, I had the same thing happen with my desk chair at work. I'd gotten the agency to buy me a chair under ADA. It got worn looking so my boss got rid of it. I ended up with a chair that left me in agony by the end of the day.

That is awful, lizardlady!

Even though I often say I wouldn't wish this on anybody, sometimes I do wish they'd have it for just one day (and a major flare-up at that)!

Then maybe they'd quit doing stuff that makes it even more difficult on people that are already having enough difficulty as it is!

I have never ever felt so unhealthy in my life ....Metabolic syndrome due to so many medications, poly pharmacy to the max is just causing me to stay overweight which causes more health problems

So I have successfully weaned off my psych meds after giving it great amounts of pro/cons and just my “ gut” feeling. I’m as I expected doing really well.

I also am cutting out physical condition meds. Some I know I just need to stay on likely for life. I dropped my muscle relaxer and there is no difference. I’m tapering off Lyrica also, I have been on it for years yet I’m still in pain 24/7 with no real break , I’m always “ flared up “ maybe it’s doing nothing too.

I just am sick of ingesting loads of chemicals a day and not sure if any really are helping me.

I’m hoping for the best

Gentle hugs to all

dreadful to read that you all are still having to cope with the same ol' crap, and worse. i have been moving around a lot, having work done on the house, and carrying boxes around has helped me to realize what it is to be in pain alllll the time. i got a few days off this weekend, and i'm taking full advantage of the respite.
wishing you Well~
Gus

Hello all. Fibro pain is back to what I call background noise. It's there but not screaming for my attention.
Wrestling with sick/injured horse Saturday aggravated my sciatica so am stove up from that.
There's all sorts of carp going on at work I'll post about eventually. Am too tired to do it tonight.

Well pain is in the forefront again. I think the back pain invited the fibro pain to join in. Chronic fatigue is non-stop exhaustion. Enough all ready! Someone got some cheese to go with this whine?

Liz I have had a bottle of wine this week for real. I am just not a drinker at all. It’s been probably a year since I last had a glass.

I guess Lyrica is fact does help my pain a bit or this is just a regular big flare? I’m going to wait a bit longer before I just get back on it, I’m just really wanting a chemical break as much as I can. Such dilemmas

How’s your horse ? Doing better I hope.

I hope you pain eases up and sciatica goes the hell away.

Hugs !

The vet was out for regular maintenance stuff Friday. Horse reinjured an old problem. His treatment will put way less wear and tear on me. Yeah!
Been thinking of all of you. I just am not online in my free time much lately. Spend so much time on the computer at work I don't even want to fire up my laptop when I get home.

Lots of pain yesterday and today. Maybe our rainy weather is contributing to it.

I have both fibro and chronic fatigue. I have a symptom I've never heard anyone else mention. I'll get this tingly all over sort of feeling and all the little hairs on My body stand on end. Then I start to shake/shiver. It looks like shivering from being cold, but I don't feel cold. Not long after that a flare starts. Anyone have anything similar happen?
