There is probably nothing that can be done about this, but I thought I would mention that I have a problem reading text when images are moving on the screen. It makes it harder to use this site than you might imagine if you don't have this problem.

It is simply hard to read when things are also moving on the screen.

The moving images include some smilies, some images to the left where the username is and some moving images in certain signatures. If it were up to me I would get rid of anything that moves on the screen!

Thanks for reading.

you can control this in your display options. ...

at the top of the page you will see a tab that says profile
scroll onto that a window pops down
click on "edit display"
Scroll down to thread display option
uncheck show signatures
uncheck show avatars
uncheck show images

go to bottom of page and click "save changes"

after you do that you will not see any images, avatars or signatures.

Thanks for that. It helps but I still get moving smilies when people use them in their text.

You could try looking up "stop animated gifs" in a search engine. You should see articles outlining how to do so with various web browsers.
