I have always been able to do friend requests from my phone just using the internet access to PC. Now it seems like all I can do is change my contact list but I can't find the friend request too. Did something change or am I missing something?

It would help me understand the trouble you're having by being a specific as possible, since there are many different ways to add a member to your contact/friends list. Where are you trying to do this (in what section of the site)? What are you seeing and what did you used to be able to see/do?

If you can go through the specific steps you use to get there, that would be super helpful. It's very difficult to troubleshoot technical issues without as much detail as possible. Thanks.

Thanks DocJohn,

I tried 2 ways.

1) I went to their profile I went to their friend list. I always thought there was a way to request them to be a friend from there & I couldn't find any way to request their friendship.

2) I went to my own profile & went into friends. I got my whole list ok.....but when I added the person's name I could only add them as a "Contact" but there was no place to request a friendship.

On the contact list there has always been a little box that gets checked if the friendship request has been accepted but could add to contact list with no way to request friendship.

Does this help?

No sir, just see "add contact". No "add friend" next to it.

This link to it will show you what I see. Scroll down to the bottom. I don't have a computer up & running right now to compare.

It has always worked that you put the person's screen name in the blank & hit the "add friend" button & it sends them a friend request but without the "add friend" button you can't do that.

I have done it in my phone before so this is something new & was wondering if it is a phone issue (I have an android) or a change here on PC.

I got a PM asking to become friends because they ciuldn't figure out how it worked & when I went to send them a friend request that was when I realized I couldn't because it was missing.

Eskie, you apparently changed your email address in your profile at some point, but never clicked on the confirmation link in the email we sent you. So you're in a group of users that have some limited functionality. I suspect that is the reason you're no longer seeing that link.

If you no longer have that link or email or can't find it, PM me with the old and new email addresses, and I'll manually update your profile record.

Once you confirm your email, the link should re-appear. (It also won't appear on people's profiles that you're already friends with.)

Ok....thank you for sorting that out.

Yes, when my computer crashed & I had to start using my phone, my old email address was difficult to access & has overflowed so I opened a new email. I will PM you my old & new email address as I think I tried to change it unsuccessfully through my profile setting.

Thank you so very much for the time spent figuring this out
