I hear you hon. I've had similar feelings when a thread I posted to was closed or removed. I've struggled to realize that I don't have to turn the crank that makes the world go 'round. I grew up feeling I was responsible for everything in the whole dang world.

If it helps you let go of your concern you contributed to the deletion mods PM the OP when a thread is removed. It helps me to stop feeling responsible to remember that if I broke the rules someone would tell me.

Thanks lizardlady. It helps to remember that I don't have the crank, as you say, that makes the world go 'round. What a nice way of putting it!

I haven't been posting so much recently but again one of the few threads I had posted on was deleted. I am also finding the impermanence to be a little disconcerting. It gives me a sense of connection to other people when I post in a thread where others do too. Then that connection is robbed when I come back and find later that the whole thread is gone without any trace of its prior existence.

I am feeling very detached from the world around me and this just adds a little more umphh to that feeling. I post mostly in the bipolar forum. Maybe moderator interventions are more common there.

Again the purpose of this thread is not to suggest any changes but to just express feelings about threads being deleted.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
