are we going to be enlisting a user team to get input about changes or is this only administration with input?
how will you know what is working for the regular member if you don't ask some of them. I knew nothing about the changes and had to high step it to be able to calm some nerves that cropped up yesterday. They were unable to access forums and hence couldn't find this thread. At least letting your mods know could ease the way over the next weeks to months and good PR is important to the member base. thanks , tams __________________ Tams https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Whgn_iE5uc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FOUqQt3Kg0 YOU LAUGH BECAUSE I AM DIFFERENT, I LAUGH BECAUSE YOU ARE ALL THE SAME Don't only practice your Art, But force your way through into its secrets, For it and Knowledge can Raise men to the Divine. I'm sorry if you missed the discussion of the new template and its testing from last week. New templates aren't really up for "discussion" because you always have the choice of choosing the theme or template you like best. If we introduce a new one and don't take away the old one, you can continue using the old one.
I've requested and gotten a fair amount of feedback already on the new template, and we've made changes to it based upon that feedback. We will continue to make changes to the new template as well. As I explained when we were testing the new theme, we needed to implement this theme due to the impact the forums have on our search visibility in Google. Not having a default mobile-responsive theme in the forums was likely hurting us. If you're looking to keep up with changes to the technical side of the forums, this is the forum to be in. Since most members don't care about these changes (outside of how to go back to their favorite theme), it's dependent upon members to visit this forum. It's not something we felt needed more widespread visibility since the old theme is readily available to continue using. Thanks for your feedback! __________________ Don't throw away your shot. |

I had the pleasure of setting the format back to "Psych Central" instead of Responsive_blue on my laptop. I tried the new format on my phone and was bothered by the 'chat' button hovering over on the lower right corner. It looks like an improvement on the phone were I ever to have to use that.

Anyone know how to get the chat bubble to go away when using your phone and the quote post option? Its not in the way if I do quick reply but anything quoting it stays in the middle.

I only noticed yesterday when using my LG phone. Top marks to the tech people behind the scene.

I dont think the thumbs up icon is a good replacement for the nuances you have with thanks and hugs.
Also I mentioned elsewhere that you cant tell what page youre on at the bottom of the page. You have to scroll to the top to advance to the next page.I havent looked at the messaging yet which was very confusing to me prior to the change. __________________ Bipolar 2 with anxious distress mixed states & rapid cycling under severe stress tegretol 200 mg wellbutrin 75 mg, cut in half or higher dose as needed Regular aerobic exercise SKILLSET/KNOWLEDGE BASE: Family Medical Advocate Masters in Library Science Multiple Subject Teaching Credential-15 yrs in public schools |

We've updated the page number listing to more clearly show what page you are on.
The thanks and hugs word-buttons were replaced with a thumbs-up and a heart to denote the exact same meaning -- thanks and hugs. While not ideal, it's the best we could with what we have to work with... __________________ Don't throw away your shot. |

I can't seem to change from the Psych Central theme. I've tried using the box at the bottom left of the screen. Regardless which theme I pick it stays Psych Central, both the actual appearance and what appears in the box. Also tried changing it in my profile. Nothing changes.
I like the Psych Central theme, so this really isn't a big deal, but wonder why I can't change. I'm using my Lenovo laptop, Chrome (don't remember which version) and Windows 10. Anybody have any ideas why it won't change? |

Have you both tried to change the theme from your Edit Your Options screen (under Miscellaneous options):
https://forums.psychcentral.com/prof...do=editoptions Make sure you hit the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of that screen. Going to a random post/thread that you've never viewed before, and trying to change the stylesheet from there seems to work more often for me, too. We haven't figured out what plugin is causing this odd behavior, unfortunately. __________________ Don't throw away your shot. |

Like I said, I like this theme so I don't really care that I can't change it. Mostly I wanted to let you know that there's a problem changing, at least for me. |
