Default Is there a way to turn off the mentions list?

Is there a way to turn off the mentions list?

I don't want to be getting notifications just because someone for some unknown reason did that @ thing to me

At this time, there is no way to disable mentions notifications on the forum. We'll look into implementing this in the future.

Agreed. Should be an option that we can control; otherwise, perhaps it needs to be fully disabled.

I have a question I hope is ok to ask. If anyone prefers to not answer my question, I will respect your choice.

What is it about the mention option that bothers you?

Its like a phone call. It demands your attention. It causes you extra keystrokes to eliminate something from your screen.

Apparently the mentioner doesnt trust that you love them enough to come back to them without the mentioner demanding you do it immediately. WHY DONT YOU TRUST THAT I LOVE YOU???!!! I guess you could say it triggers some of us?
