I am using the psych central theme on a pc and now at the row where the "Home", "Conditions", "Quizzes" etc, there is a pale flourescent blue that I find visually disturbing. It think it used to be the same blue as the rest of the blues on the forum. Also I can barely read the white text on that pale blue background.

Has something happened to the theme?

I use psych central theme. the tabs and bars at the top are the same as they usually are.

suggestion when a friend was having this problem on another site the problem turned out to be their monitors settings.

there should be some buttons on your monitor or settings in your monitor menu. you can self adjust things in there like holds, color contrast, brightness sizing.

Everything else is unchanged on the theme and I haven't changed any setting on my macbook monitor nor know how to do that. I am also using chrome. If I go to the site using safari I don't have that problem.

So I think I have uploaded a screen shot of what I am talking about. What should have a brown background (as it does in Safari) is now Pale Blue on chrome.

That's because your internet connection or web browser is, for some unknown reason, not loading the background image for that bar. We haven't changed a thing on the PC template for years.

Can you see this image if you click on it in the browser that's having the problem?

Thanks for your answer. When I click on the link above in the browser that is having the problem I get a black screen with a little white rectangle in the center.

I am not sure what to do.

Ok. That fixed it. Clearing the cache did. I didn't read the yellow highlighted text "Have you checked our Help & FAQ section for the information? Have you read our tutorials? Have you ensured you've tried everything in this post first?"

because the yellow highlight is visually disturbing to me. I have a condition called Irlen syndrome and wear tinted glasses and am quite sensitive to light.

So the fact that this important text was highlighted meant that i never read it and just tried to avoid focussing on that part of the screen until I had scrolled beneath it.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and to help me out. Next time I will just do the steps in the article before posting.
