It would be nice to receive a notification when someone reacts to our post or if somebody replies to it.
I always have to manually check and I don't catch all the replies due to the speed on some threads. I think if we received notifications for these things, there would be more community engagement and perhaps we would feel more connected. __________________ |

You can subscribe to threads as far as I know.
I use Tapatalk on my phone and it’s an option anytime I post on a thread. __________________ Helping others gets me out of my own head ~ |

I would not like such a thing. I dislike notifications

Yes that is what my clicking subscribe to does. Can you just scroll down the thread until you see your post being quoted? Maybe I have no idea what I’m talking about But as I sad I use Tapatalk on my phone, maybe someone that uses such a feature on desk top view can come explain how to find a tool to help you in what your trying to do. __________________ Helping others gets me out of my own head ~ |

What kind of (self-proclaimed; not name-calling here!) psychopath would advise something like that?!
It's EXTREMELY distracting to those of us who prefer - nay, require - things orderly and predictable. Dast i say unchanging. I speak only for myself of course. I know we are not supposed to diagnose, but this recommendation of yours makes me suspicious. Eta - unless your recommendation was a joke. In which case i say, well played, sir! They show up any way - and I have to sort through what is a notification for just a reply to a post I made (which I do not care about) or a pm (which I do care about) or etc - that is not ignorable. I don't care if they can make is so people could turn it on or off.

I know what they look like and I still don't want it. If it is a feature one can choose or not - then fine but it is quite annoying to have it showing a notification for something one has no need about which to be notified.

Thanks for the suggestion and feedback.
After some deliberation, we've decided that we're not adding any new notifications at this time. We feel like you have plenty of notifications already via the notifications box that will display if you have any pending notifications. Furthermore, you can check your profile for additional notifications, and even set it up so it emails you for things like subscribed threads or new PMs. __________________ Don't throw away your shot. |
