I started a thread: https://psychcentralforums.com/gener...unge-club.html
and I was wondering if it might be good as a group? If so how does a member start a group or does a mod set it up? Ideally I'd like to copy and paste the content of my thread in order to add a bit and have that be the introduction to what the group is about. It would be open to anyone who wants to join. Or is it better to have it be like those threads that seem permanent.. like the senior thread or something like that? I seem to have gotten positive feedback so I think it would be well received. Do I message a mod? How can I find a list of mods, both online and offline and what sections they work or who to send a message to? __________________ "I carried a watermelon?" https://psychcentralforums.com/showgroups.php That's a link to the list of moderators/administrators.
I got this from the FAQ section. Hope it helps Can I create my own social group? As a registered member, you can create your own social group (providing the administrator allows this). Go to the groups page and click 'Create A New Group'. Complete the title and description for your group then select the type. There are three types of groups: Public - open to everyone. There is no restriction on who can join or who can post messages to it Invite Only - require an invitation to be sent to join them. Invitations can only be sent by the group creator or forum moderators and administrators. Invitations are sent by clicking 'Pending & Invited Members' at the bottom of the page for that individual group Moderated - open to everyone to join but messages need to be moderated before they will appear. They are moderated by the group creator and the site moderators and administrators This is a link to the group page https://psychcentralforums.com/groups/ __________________ I think I need help 'cause I'm drowning in myself. I'd see how much interest you get in the thread first, before considering it for a social group. Generally social groups that have 30 or more active members work best.... anything less than that and it's hard to get people to remember to check in on the group as activity will likely remain low. Good luck!
