Every time I change my privacy settings and then go back to check if they were in fact saved, it always reverts back to "Everyone." I want to make sure that my email isn't visible to anyone. I tested out the emailing myself, and it shows my full email address when I do so.

I just want my email to be private, but when I change the setting to "Friends" and hit save, and then I return to that page, it goes back to "Everyone."

Showing your email address is not an option in our profile settings, so I'm unclear what you're talking about. Nowhere in a member's profile can you view another member's email address.

What we do allow is for other members to send you an email through the forums. I've set that option off for you.

I also don't see an option to show email in our privacy settings:

https://psychcentralforums.com/profile.php?do=doprivacy

I do see an option to display or not display contact information. If you'd like that turned off to only friends too, we can do that for you if for some reason it doesn't seem to be working for you.... just let us know.

@DocJohn Thank you for your reply and for confirming that our emails don't show up. I'm sure I read that before, but I always test it myself, like I do on WordPress, just to see what is visible when I send or receive email.

UPDATE/EDIT: I was able to change my contact setting, so that should be okay.

For the privacy settings, I tried again this morning and, despite my hitting the save button, whenever I return to the page I see every setting revert back to "Everyone."

Here's what I tried to change my settings to (but it keeps going back to "Everyone" instead of the following settings):

Contact Info: CONTACTS
Profile Picture: REGISTERED MEMBERS
Visitor Messages: REGISTERED MEMBERS
Albums: REGISTERED MEMBERS
About Me: REGISTERED MEMBERS
Friends: REGISTERED MEMBERS
Recent Visitors: REGISTERED MEMBERS
Group Memberships: REGISTERED MEMBERS

I feel safe with using private messaging, and I unchecked the settings for users to send me emails. I'm okay on that end. It's the privacy settings that I'm mainly concerned about. Maybe I'm doing something wrong on my end, but I do hit the save button. Perhaps there's a setting I need to change with my browser??

Sorry for the inconvenience.
