I was wondering if there was a BB Code for spoiler alerts? I was hoping that it could work like the BB Code for trigger alerts, where the spoil is hidden, especially when posting about current television shows or movies.

If it doesn't exist, can one be created?

I may decide to use the trigger BB Code for now, since it is too easy for others to accidentally glance at a spoil, and the hidden text in the trigger code would protect from that.

I just recall one time on FB I had shared my own thoughts about an episode (probably regarding Homeland, a Showtime Series). One of the people on my FB at the time got so angry because I forgot to put up a spoiler alert. Ignorant of online etiquette at the time, I had no idea what a spoiler alert was. When I researched it back then, I quickly figured it out. I felt so bad. I didn't mean to ruin that person's experience of the show. Anyway, I thought about that recently when I posted about L&O: SVU Season 21. I went back and edited my original post to place the trigger BB code around the paragraph that spoiled.

There's some innocent mistakes that can be made when one is too old and hasn't been up-to-date with all the customs of social media. I took a long time away from social media, with the exception of a few platforms, and mostly spent time in school. Now that I've taken about four years off, I'm back online.

Please use the trigger BB code for spoilers. Or lots of blank lines before you start talking about the thing you're spoiling....
