Question Nov 10, 2019 at 10:59 AM
  #1
I recently had to delete some messages on my profile, and it asked me the reason why. I stated the reason why and hit delete.

However, I noticed that the deleted message and the reason why show up for everyone to see! I didn't know that. Otherwise, I wouldn't have filled in that box for the reason why. You may or may not be aware of this, but just in case, I thought I'd address it now.

Also, my question now is whether or not the deleted messages on our profiles can be hidden, so that only mods/admins can see the reasons why, but not everyone else. This is particularly important when deletion of such messages stem from spam, harassment, violation of PC rules/guidelines, and/or violation of personal boundaries; visibly seeing the reasons why may upset some people who stop in to see a person's profile, and quite frankly, may upset the person whose profile now becomes a constant reminder of that person in the messages.

Is there any way you can hide those deleted messages and the reasons why they were deleted??

Thank you!
