Has anyone considered scheduling a covid related chat? There are so many posts around the site from people who are struggling with mental health because of physical/social distancing. Would it be possible to set up something in chat so people can connect?

People are in the chat room all day long talking about COVID. I invite, on behalf of all chat regulars, everyone to finally discover PC chat and build community through real time chat.

I know in the past there were concerns bc of conversations that were somewhat controversial but I assure you, as a regular in chat, that it's very tame, and very congenial. More serious topics to get moved to the Emotional Support or Adult room, but it's much more supportive and friendly than in years past and there is constant moderation, for the most part from our great friends @Tamster, Guiness, @downandlonely and @TheSeaCat throughout the day.

If groups are overwhelming you can also privately message, in real time with friendly members. I work from home regularly and am in at different times throughout the day. Feel free to come in and PM me.

agree with this

it would be good to suggest crafting activities,, for example
or other things you can do at home to keep busy.

I think their needs to be one.

Thanks seesaw. I don't use the chat feature so did not know people were already talking about it.
