Talk about overload!!! Now I have to read posts Im not interested in because the beginning of the message appears as I run my cursor down the page.
There I am, minding my own business, LOL, and I am drawn into every post! It is really important for me to keep the input I get to a minimum. This reminds me of why I hate Facebook. Do I need to see that person's recipe for chicken or a picture of a flower? For these forums, I want a choice of which posts I read. __________________ Bipolar 2 with anxious distress mixed states & rapid cycling under severe stress tegretol 200 mg wellbutrin 75 mg, cut in half or higher dose as needed Regular aerobic exercise SKILLSET/KNOWLEDGE BASE: Family Medical Advocate Masters in Library Science Multiple Subject Teaching Credential-15 yrs in public schools |

Sorry that you seem to be experiencing some sort of new display problem in viewing the forums. Have you tried the steps in the Read me first post?
If so, did it help clear up the issue? We haven't made any changes to the templates in a few years... __________________ Don't throw away your shot. |

I assume perhaps what you're referring to is when you run your cursor down a forum page, over the thread titles, a box appears that shows a "snippet" of what's in the post? I don't know if there is a way to turn that off or not. I presume perhaps not? What I do is just to keep my cursor over on the right-hand side of the page as I scroll down using the little wheel on my mouse to scroll down. (I access PC using an old laptop computer.) Then all the little boxes don't come up (at least for me.) Sorry if I'm off track on this...

I think its just like getting a preview so if the title of the post doesnt make it clear what the thread is about, you can see the first line or so and decide to post? I do not know if that is the reason or not. Its been like this forever because this software for this forum and many forums is offered by Vbulletin and that is what all the Vbulletin forums do when you hover your cursor over a thread title on the left. I belong to another forum and have been a member there for 9 years and its the same way there.

Strange, those summaries havent been there for me til the past week or two and I have been on this forum since 2015. There may be an on/off capability.
I agree with you Sarah on the purpose of it. One of my problems is that I can get overstimulated. That's why I dont like it. __________________ Bipolar 2 with anxious distress mixed states & rapid cycling under severe stress tegretol 200 mg wellbutrin 75 mg, cut in half or higher dose as needed Regular aerobic exercise SKILLSET/KNOWLEDGE BASE: Family Medical Advocate Masters in Library Science Multiple Subject Teaching Credential-15 yrs in public schools |
