I don't know what is happening.. I can't go a day without being flooded with so much..

It's ruining everything
I'm losing people I wanted in my life...

I don't trust.. I'm frightened.. I'm going to be alone again soon.....

What are you being flooded with?Memories?

Now would be a good time to contact your therapist for help getting through this.

(((elevatedsoul))), I am sorry you have been struggling so much and from what little you have shared here you are struggling with being flooded with all the feelings where you are overwhelmed, feeling unsafe, and it sounds like you don't have someone you can go to that has the ability to actually "listen" to you and "hear" you and provide you with compassion that allows you to feel "safe" and not so alone.

I have experienced what it's like to be flooded and could have uttered exactly what you wrote out here in this thread. I had to learn that when I get this way to give myself time and a place to feel safe until this flooding and overwhelm subsides. It is important to find a therapist that specializes in doing "trauma therapy". It was not until I found such a therapist myself that I finally felt I had someone who could actually hear me and someone who could help "me" to understand what my challenge meant and how my history and current challenges contributed to how badly I was struggling. My family and friends did not provide me with the right kind of support and they did not have any knowledge about PTSD and they tended to respond to me in ways that only made me worse as well as leaving me feeling like I was an imposition. What saved me was being exposed to individuals who understood this challenge and had to ability to respond to me in a way that helped me gradually understand it better and learn how to give myself time and patience so that I could learn how to have patience when I got flooded and struggled and began to have vulnerable negative and confusing emotions.

It's very hard to explain this challenge to friends and family and "yes" it's very lonely when that happens. This is why it's important to find support from individuals who do understand and have the ability to be more understanding and supportive and finding a good therapist is important.

You can vent if you need to here in this thread, there are other members that can relate and are supportive.
