Hi, everyone,

I work hard daily to better my mental health. I know a huge part of that depends on facing and accepting what troubles me, plus pacing myself so I have time to heal.

KSDK Channel 5 in St. Louis, MO interviewed me for a cover story about my bullying/trolling on 4-17-2018 here:
Access Denied<<<< I don't know why the link won't post.

The Daily Mail published an article about my bullying/trolling on 5-10-2018 here:
Online troll sent abusive messages to strangers for five years | Daily Mail Online

I had to step forward; seeing on the news and in my community people in misery I understand drove me to speak up. I think if I share my story, maybe I can help. Both links are on my blog

I needed and benefitted from speaking out. I healed more and kept going on. Now, today, I am working on my writing to publish on my blog and online specifics about my child abuse and domestic violence events for the same reason. My bullying interviews were not enough for me. And, while it helped me, I need to do more.

As I am sure most of you understand, speaking out in this way is terrifying. Yet, I have to do this; it is in my thoughts every second I am awake. I wake up every morning thinking about it and it is on my mind when I go to sleep.

I have overcome a lot in my life; I know that. Maybe others will see that if my life was that horrid and I am doing better, maybe they can too.

I need encouragement. I need no one trying to talk me out of it. I am publishing my writing and promoting it. And I know I could get trolled and some people could be angry about it.

But, like I said, encouragement would be wonderful.

I thank you!

xoxox

You got this. I'm impressed by the fact that you were in that place, behaviorally, and were able to get yourself out. That takes work, maturity, growth, deep insight, and impressive personal responsibility. Good for you.

I am going to go all woman-forward with this... THANK YOU for speaking up. Thank you for being afraid and doing it anyway(that is what true courage is). Thank you for helping the "little guy". Thank you for taking all the abuse(trolling) and still telling your story. Thank you for taking a stand and not taking one more damn minute of the abuse. Thank you for putting yourself out there. Thank you for giving the raw account and keeping it real. Thank you for speaking out against misogyny. Thank you for showing the world that people do heal-when they have support. Thank you for giving me hope that the world hasnt gone to ****-at least not yet.

I am so incredibly sorry that you were bullied. You absolutely did not deserve that traumatic experience. No one does. I am very proud of you for continuing your craft and creative expression even in light of the awful actions of others.

Sometimes I think of how much great writing, poetry, and art the world will never experience because the author was bullied or trolled and decided to give up. Some insight that has helped me, and take it with a grain of salt, is this... Hurt people hurt people. It may sound a bit cheezy, but I believe it to be true. It doesn't justify anything, but it sure explains a lot.

You need encouragement, you got it. I need your writing. I am very serious about this. Your experience and creative style are incredibly unique to you and you alone. By putting that down on paper (figuratively. Digital works too), you are helping every single person who reads it by sharing a point of you that they will never experience on there own.

If this is not acceptable here, which I don't see why it wouldn't be (especially in the creative corner), the send it to me personally. I am happy to read it and give you feedback.

Wow you are amazing! How many of us can say we never made mistakes... nobody... You’re an inspiration for speaking out so bravely about your own mistakes. I’m sure you’ll experience so much healing and forgiveness. As a result of this. I need encouragement

I hear you. I wonder about people who could have crossed my path. How different life could be if this person hadn't died, or had gone in a different direction. Or, like you said, someone so abused and overwhelmed, that they lose hope.

And, not cheezy, but true. Hurting people hurt others. And if they don't get help, it gets worse.

I thank you for your compliments and generous feedback about my writing. I am grateful I can write about my experiences. I know I am not alone in my childhood experiences. And I worry about people who are too frightened to speak up. And people who don't realize they are being abused. I didn't. I thought all families were like mine. I think I was in my 30s when I read about abusive families and realized that mine was.

DocJohn said it is ok for me to post my writing! I asked about it Community Feedback and Technical Support. I went looking for the post and see you found it. I am grateful DocJohn said it was ok!! xoxoxoxox
