Default PMS and anger

During PMS, my anger worsens, I get more emotional and things seem to affect me more. This is the period where I usually hurt myself but I'm tired of hurting myself and not doing anything about it. I try to listen to music and play my game to help me. Music is usually the main thing that distracts me and puts me in a better mood. Are there any other things that can help my moods?

Getting outside for a small while can help. Though, I really find that treating physical symptoms though there may not feel like there are physical symptoms can alleviate the emotional feelings. Such as treating with a hot pad the lower back. I know so many people swear by the scent of lavendar but my experience is the scent of oranges is the mood lifter.
Take this time to evaluate the toxic individuals in your life. I have found that when I'm experiencing pms, I'm tired, nearly lethargic and I have realized that when I'm not feeling at my best those that I actually want nurturing of me are distant themselves. It's one of those things like which came first the chicken or the egg. If my seemingly withdrawn nature while actually being fatigued is in turn triggering these/this individual(s) to such a level...my awareness leads me to not be reactionary to it...exhausted persons will snap aka have a mood change, no? So if I see it for what it is...then I choose to not lash out nor in. But reevaluate things....

Anyways...do something to treat yourself. Journal, take a warm shower toss on some jammies, watch a movie or read a book...value yourself. Look at it as a day of malaise and not worry about feelings, if that makes sense?

I have gone through the change and it is all good now. However, I used to have the "eat-ies", the "cleanies" (which my mom LOVED) and the "anger-ies". It lasted about a day and it was over (anger). I just had to power through it. I would throw things and get enraged over the smallest thing.

This may help you, but you could avoid certain things that upset you or triggers your anger for a bit. Try drinking some relaxing tea, read a book, color. Those adult coloring books always help me out around those times and I try to avoid the internet as much as possible because around my PMS, anything seems to set me off. Also put on a funny movie and take a walk. Even if it's for 10 mins or so, it's good to get outside and take in the nature around you. Anything that helps, do it.

I'm so sorry, happycheeks I have never experienced this, so unfortunately I don't have a lot of advice to give. I agree with healing4me abou this. Jus try to find yourself some distractions. What are your hobbies? What do you like to do in your free time? Anything that can help you distract you for a short while. If you're dealing with anger, it could be useful to try out yoga exercises. They can be very helpful for your mind and body. You could also try to buy a punching bag to vent your anger and frustration. Stay safe and take care of yourself. You can do this! You're strong, I know that. I believe in you. I'm so sorry, I wish I've had more advice to give to you. Just wanted to let you know that I'm here for you. Remember that we're here for you as well if you need it. Feel free to vent here as much as you want. We'll listen to what you have to say and won't judge you. Keep writing here if it helps. I'm here for you as well if you need it. Feel free to PM me anytime. Let me know if I can do something to help you. Wish you good luck! Let us know how it goes. Sending many hugs to you
