Just can’t tolerate the nonsense anymore

I just saw a news article about a baby dolphin who died when tourists took selfies with it and then dumped its lifeless body on the sand. I’m heartbroken when I see stuff like this. I have a hard time with the cruel and irresponsible behavior I see every day. It literally makes it hard for me to get through the rest of the day when I see something like that.

I’ve posted a lot here on PC over the past year about making friends and how hard it is for me. I’ve often felt sad about it. Recently I went to a social event and everybody was taking selfies at least half the time. The other half of the time was just a lot of over-sharing of personal problems. I was really annoyed with all the selfies. The person hosting the event had her dogs locked up in a small crate, they were crying and obviously in distress. That really bothered me so I just left.

I guess I will continue to have very few friends. I have little tolerance.... and so I walk away from the few friendship opportunities that do come along. Things I read in the news and things I see people do IRL has just really been getting to me....

On a positive note... I’ve started spending more time doing my volunteer work for animals.... I think it’s more valuable time spent than with a group of people taking selfies all evening. I may not ever have any friends to talk to about my thoughts and feelings except you guys here on PC... and my animals.
