It's learning to be patient with self and it's not always easy when it comes to those deep inner child negative messages. From what I am seeing (((Fuzzy))) is that you are beginning to identify these feelings you are experiencing. You need to name it in order to tame it and often it takes time to name these feelings and where they are coming from. Are you seeing a therapist right now Fuzzy?

A therapist recently terminated with me. They were a .... sub optimal ....therapist as they didn’t even terminate kindly. I didn’t do anything wrong, I just wasn’t “cured” in a handful of sessions __________________ |

I'm so sorry you're hurting so much, Fuzzybear! I completely agree with what all the other wise, wonderful posters have already wisely said better than I ever could!!!!! It is VERY IMPORTANT to take care of our inner child but unfortunately it's not always easy to do so, especially when there have been some MEAN and NASTY people in our lives degrading us and making us think that we're just not worth it despite the fact that that's NOT the truth AT ALL! That's the reason WHY it IS important to take care of our inner child though! Just remember to be KIND and PATIENT with yourself! That's the MOST important thing that you can do! You DESERVE to treat yourself with kindness, Fuzzybear! The same kindness that you didn't receive when you were a bear cub! PLEASE ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT! Of course ALWAYS remember that we ALL care about you here and that YOU ARE LOVED, FUZZYBEAR!!!!! I PROMISE YOU THAT! PLEASE ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT! Your inner child DESERVES to be loved as much as EVERYONE ELSE! PLEASE ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT, FUZZYBEAR! Remember that you'll ALWAYS be cared about, loved and welcomed here on PC by EVERYONE WITHOUT EVER BEING JUDGED! You can just be YOURSELF here and you and your inner child can be ACCEPTED and LOVED for who you truly are! I PROMISE YOU THAT I'LL NEVER JUDGE YOU! I PROMISE YOU THAT! PLEASE ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT! Sending many hugs to you, Fuzzybear!

Honestly Fuzzy, some therapists are not very good therapists and not worth spending time with.

I’m sorry that happened to you. Some therapists are in the wrong profession. Please show yourself kindness and compassion. You deserve it.

Lol...when I first moved to where I live now & was searching for a good T I came across one that said wuth him I would be better in so many sessions & I could pay what I could afford. I never went back to him because I KNEW that my situation was more complex than that & I sure wasn't going to someone so arrogant without even knowing everything to tell me that. I knew he was full of BS. Usually in the US they will tell you up front how many sessions they are willing to do IF they are the kind that put limits on the number of sessions. It actually took me 6 years of OUTSTANDING therapy to process & integrate my past with my present. I still see my T monthly while I am going through the difficult stuff I'm dealing with right now & she is awesome. Each month tells me that appointments now are on what I feel I need. Nice to be at that point.....she keeps me on track through difficult times.....so she has no limit. Different T's have different POLICIES & it is good to know them upfront so you don't get blindsided like this. Their policies ARE NOT ABOUT YOU even though it may feel like it at the time. A learning experience to check on in any future looking for a new T. Sad when we need help & encounter this kind of crap __________________ Leo's favorite place was in the passenger seat of my truck. That's a tough time you had Fuzzybear. I do not know much about the system outside Ireland, as a result, I have little useful to add to other comments. When I saw the shrinks in the passed over here I found them a strange bunch. When I opted for talk therapy I had to foot the bill myself. Its how it works here.
I hope you manage ok fuzzy and always remind yourself that you are entitled to put yourself first. There is no shame in that or anything else that helps with self-care. __________________ A daily dose of positive in a world going cuckoo Humour helps... |
