OK, this is probably going to sound stupid because almost all of you are adults and way beyond the sleepover stage, but this is really a huge step for me. The other day I made it through my first ever sleepover at my home at had so much fun. Now I am going to be going to one of my best friends homes for a sleepover tonight which will be the first time ever for this and the first time not sleeping in my bedroom with the exception of when I was in hospital treatment centers since I have been home. I do feel safe because I have been friends with my friend since we have been 5 years old and her family knows my situation like the back of there hand so if anything were to happen they know how to handle it and my parents are only minutes away. I am really looking to have a blast tonight with my best friend in the whole world even though the butterflies are fluttering in my stomach right now.

I had an awesome time. At first when I got there I was doing a lot of thinking of home, but my friend and her mom were keeping me so busy with games, helping make snacks, picking out movies and stuff like that it really helped. Once me and my best friend just got to be our silly selves I had a blast. I think we drove her mom a bit batty with giggling and the music and singing and dancing and just being goofy and staying up really late, but she survived. Her dad and brother locked themselves in there rooms. The sleep which I thought was going to be the scariest away from my own bed was OK even though I didn't get many hours of sleep. It took me some time to fall asleep even after my friend fell asleep even with my Trazadone medicine. It was a great time and just another hurdle I jumped over in my recovery.

Some accomplishments that may be small to one person can be huge for another. I remember having all the same nervous while excited feelings when I was younger. I am so glad you had fun. Thank you for sharing your positivity here.
