When my mom and dad didn't constantly bring up divorce. Them hating and screaming at each other has been going on throughout my whole life.
Edit: Actually, when I got to keep my uncle's cat. She is the light of my life right now. |

@Aracela- my parents fought a lot, too. And my dad threatened my mom with divorce as a scare tactic.

Another thing that is going well these days is the fact that my sleep apnea is finally under control. In October of last year I started using a cpap- but it didn't quite do the job. Then they upgraded me to a bipap, but still they couldn't quite get the settings right. Finally, about 2 months ago, they changed the pressure again, and since then my AHI numbers look good, and I'm sleeping well.
My blood pressure is down, too. My systolic pressure is usually in the 140's- but these days I'm down in the 120's. __________________ My business is to teach my aspirations to conform themselves to fact, not to try and make facts harmonise with my aspirations. T.H. Huxley |

The past two months with a wonderful handsome man named Giovanni - we loved harder and more than I ever did - now he's gone and I cry every day.

Monday maybe? Yesterday morning was ok. I’m not sure. It’s not that things aren’t going well it’s just that my anxiety is a bit higher then it was before. I am attributing it to the change in generics of meds.

My son and I had a great time on our trip. We ended up watching some pretty funny improv together, and visited Houston's Downtown Aquarium. Their restaurant is pretty pricey- but my gumbo was delicious! My kid is crazy (in a good way)- we swam in our hotel's unheated outdoor pool- at his insistence- even though the water temps were probably in the 50's. Good times!

I have had quite a few good days recently, I am grateful for this.
Yesterday was a good work day and we were on track for a change- I got a lot of productive work done and a sense of achievement from that. Today had a good date day with my H too, I was able to ask his advice on a parenting matter whilst on neutral territory and that space from home life was helpful for both of us. |

Read some life-affirming stuff today, and also laughed a little bit at another book I'm reading (in a good way), sitting in the kitchen while it is somewhat snowing out...

It's been a full year since things have gone well for me. 2018 was my year when everything turned around for me and got better. 2019 was somewhat Ok, then really sucked towards the end. And so far this year, 2020, things have been quite sucky. So 2018 was the last time things went really well for me.

Honestly, I feel that things go well for me most of the time because I look at life as being grateful for everything. In life, we will not always get what we want, but we can be grateful for what we have. I am grateful to be alive each day, having food, clothing, and shelter. Though these things may appear as insignificant but many people who are homeless would do anything to have these things in life.

Today was good, had a date day with my husband and we tried a new place for brunch- it was delicious. I did make a mistake by going into the dog friendly side of the cafe and h got a bit grumpy but thankfully the dogs were well behaved and he relaxed.
A friend of mine who I haven't seen for a long time came in with her cute dog and it was wonderful to see her and have a chat. I will definitely go in the no dogs bit next time though. |

Went to an online support group on Monday -- that was helpful because it's a relief when I can talk about mental health-related stuff to people who actually get it!
So that was the last time things went well for me. |

Had a business experience with friends that didn’t go bad and that made things go well for me.

It was a great night for playing disc golf. And I had a pleasant conversation with another player.

2018 was the best year of my life. I landed a new job, I moved into a great new apartment, I bought a new car, then I got engaged. It was an eventful and momentous year for me, as life had not gone well up until then.

I just found out that I have VA health benefits. I'm in priority group 8c - so all I have to pay is small co-pays. The balance of the bill is paid by my health insurance & whatever is left over is written off.

Last week I returned to work after having covid, I still felt a little unwell and tired. My supervisor was very supportive and honestly the whole team couldn’t have been nicer - retail at Christmas is hard work but they didn’t put any stress onto me.

A couple of weeks ago I thought we were going to have to purchase and install a new water heater... but I did a little research and then cleaned up the thermocouple - it's been working perfectly since then ( I also bought a new thermocouple, just in case).

My parents were very nearly conned out of a lot of money by rogue tradesmen, but today a genuine tradesman came over and put right their poor work at a fraction of the cost. I feel like although there are those with bad intentions out there that there are also genuinely good people too.
