Good: I got those papers done and got an A- in both classes.

I'm planning on taking a trip with my 11 yr old son- this will be the first time just the two of us have traveled together.

Bad: Every once a while I catch myself bragging.

I also worry about things. Like- how are people going to react to my bragging?

That's great news about your trip and exam result - congratulations!

Good - almost everything, I feel like I have got a great balance in my life and I feel happy.

Bad - I think I have sciatica, shooting pain down my leg/low back. It's mostly a problem when I sit for long periods, fortunately I don't sit much.

Good: I had a good time with my wife and son last night

Bad: I sold something on eBay and the buyer asked me to partially disassemble it before shipping. I did it, but now I worry that she will complain about how I did it- or break it while trying to assemble it, and claim that it was broken when she got it (I've had some bad experiences with buyers in the past).

Bad: Living alone is lonely and isolating.

Good: there is lots of freedom to create, meditate and listen to the birds.

Bad: I ruminated a lot today.

Good: I'm home and resting after a dental procedure, and I like being home. I'm about to knit and excited about it.

Bad: I had a week where I waffled on decisions I have to make and felt very negative about myself.
Good: I started a new fitness (running) program two weeks ago and have been sticking to it extremely well.

Good- Our trip is coming up soon. I've been making plans for what we'll do when we're there. The seller received the package, and so far has been quiet. No news is good news.

Bad- I worry and ruminate about situations- past, present and future.

Good: I just found a really good deal on a line by line commentary of Aristotle's work.

Bad: I'm painfully aware of my own inadequacy and imperfection.

You are human. It's okay not to be perfect. As long as you are not hurting others.

Your response compelled me do some research on feeling guilt- specifically feeling guilty about harming others. This article suggests that just feeling guilty is problematic. What is important is reducing the harm we do to other people.

Quote:
So if you're reading this I beg of you, consider your perception of guilt. Consider developing a habitual response of asking yourself "how can I reduce this harm going forward?" Consider interrupting your negative self-talk guilt response with "this is not helpful to me or anyone else. I will do better next time by doing _______ and that is what matters." Consider increasing your chances of doing good by refusing to punish yourself; refusing to waste that energy that you could be using for good.

Good- Had an amazing time with my husband on a mini break and felt we connected better than in a long time.

Bad - I got woke up stupidly early by someone outside the hotel.... not a biggie as no work today so caught up with my rest.

Good- I've felt motivated lately. I've been posting 2-3 items a day on eBay- and I hope to earn about $3000 from those sales in the next 2 months. I grossed $9000 in eBay sales last year- I'd like to beat that figure this year.

Bad- I've been getting bids from people who have 0 feedback- that is sometimes a warning sign that they will not pay. I made a $150 sale 2 days ago- but I haven't been paid yet. The purchases from people who don't pay is not really that big a deal, it's more of an inconvenience. It means that if they don't end up paying in ten days, I must relist the item and wait for the item to sell again.

I also plan to stop volunteering- and I'm not looking forward to the reaction.

Good- I did my own taxes again and already got my refund.

Bad- I spent almost half that refund on car repairs. And I had to spend 3 times a much as I thought I would on those repairs. And the cost seems really high. Next time I'll try someone else.
