can’t get a hold of anyone for support right now. giving this a try for the first time.
i have a psychotic disorder that makes it really hard dealing with extreme emotions and this time it’s sadness. no reason for it.
feeling isolated and desperately alone. trying to focus on other things that typically help but it’s not currently working.
anyone have any tips on dealing with this?

So sorry you are struggling, krassten. I have bipolar 1 with a lot of psychosis, but I do still have days where I am quite sad, like yesterday. It does happen. I think it's pretty common.

Do what you can. Watch a show or a movie. Go for a walk and get outside for a few minutes. Cook. Try to do something besides doing nothing and feeling bad. I find that taking action usually makes me feel better.

I hope your day gets better!!!!!!!!!

Hi. I have schizoaffective disorder and I deal with a lot of sadness. I don't really have any great ways of dealing with it. I do have some friends I can reach out to and text. There's also a text crisis line 741741 that I have used before. My sadness seems to come out of nowhere often as well. It's frustrating. I try to do a lot of self care. Take a warm/hot shower, put on nice lotion, perfume, go outside, go for a walk, go play basketball, snuggle with my kitties, take a nap, go get coffee, etc. You did well by reaching out here. Keep trying, something will work. HUGS if you want them, Kit

Hi. I had the same problem yesterday. But I prayed and read inspirational books and I got through it. I also told myself that this too shall pass. It helped me. I hope it helps you.

I completely understand how you feel. Sometimes my coping skills don't work. Have you tried doing mediation? Mediation help you relax. Check out positive magazines mediation etc what ever you want.
