I feel really angry for some reason. I can usually get over momentary anger. Like if I hit my finger with a hammer, I'll be mad for a few seconds and then I'll tell myself to grow up and move on without an issue.
And I woke up feeling fine despite being worried about an older friend who was sick and hasn't replied to my message for longer than usual. I decided yesterday and today that nothing will be achieved by fretting so I just have to wait to hear from them. Then my adult sibling nagged me four times, interrupting things I was doing to tell me to do what I was already doing. And to make matters worse, her childish shrieking way of talking set off my dog into obnoxious barking. I also got an annoying message from a customer, which wouldn't have bothered me much if my sister didn't also nag me about that while I was working. And I just got really angry at all the annoying behaviors around me and I'm still angry after several hours later. I plan to spend the day cleaning my room and try to work out with the punching bag. I'm just really angry still and I don't like letting people have that effect on me. I suppose I need to find something nice to distract myself. Does anyone else get really angry like this sometimes? |

Does anyone ever get really angry sometimes? Yeah, I do. I know what you mean about not wanting people to have that affect on you. I think you've got the right idea about distracting yourself. you'll feel better eventually.

I've figured out that what gives me these angry days every few months is when my sister intrudes into my bedroom and her yapping voice startles my dog into barking loudly in my face. Then my nerves feel shattered for the rest of the day and everything makes me angrier.
I have noticed that I tend to reset when I sleep and I only get over the stress after a a night of uninterrupted sleep. I'm trying to figure out how to replicate that during the day when I can't stop and go to bed to deal with stress. Today she complained at me on a nasty whining voice over something another adult could have dealt with and it left a taint on my day, but not as bad as before because my dog wasn't around to be set off by her this time. Encountering her is like stepping on a poo and you can't quite get rid of the smell for the rest of the day. |
