I envy couples, and happily married people. My daughter's dad and I would have been married 20 years. I feel like i really messed up. I didn't have all the kids i wanted. I didn't have the happy marriage. I feel so lost in life.

I just feel like I'll never really be happy. Superficially i am happy. But it's too late to live the life I wanted. The family life. I'm just a miserable person.

With the exception of few years in my young age I was single my entire adult life, until age 50. And I did well for myself, I did better for myself and had a better life than many married women! There is more to life than marriage. Plus all those couples you see, you’ve no idea how they really live. Just reading on this forum is eye opening. Count your blessings of not living in a bad marriage or depending on a man

And you are still young! Life doesn’t work how we plan it, but it might work in some unexpected ways
