I am sorry that you feel bad Better times ahead
Personally I know I haven’t been posting ( more just reading) as much because job has been so insane I can’t even...I think also more people spend time on their electronic devices working and doing other stuff due to covid that maybe they try to limit time on Internet? I actually have hand problem because I am on computer and phone so much. I try to limit my time typing stuff. |

It really does come and go in waves. UP, DOWN, UP, DOWN. It's a bit crazy making. Today I feel better. My husband and I got over our fight and talked it all out. We had fun last night and got some decent sleep. And yeah, what you say makes sense. Someone said maybe it's because of the recent forum errors that scared some people away, thinking the site will now be down. It's just weird. I've never seen it so slow on here like this. I'm sorry your job has been so insane. That's tough to deal with. Zaps the energy. __________________ "Twenty-five years and my life is still trying to get up that great big hill of hope for a destination" ~4 Non Blondes |

Oh yes... covid needs to end for sure. Everyone is so sick of it all. Wearing masks is a huge pain, but necessary. We were at a socially distant concert last night. Everyone had a mask on and stayed 6 feet apart, even though dancing was allowed. It was weird and annoying to have to wear the mask all night, but I felt much safer doing so. Par for the course, as you said. __________________ "Twenty-five years and my life is still trying to get up that great big hill of hope for a destination" ~4 Non Blondes |

Again, glad to hear things are a little better for you lately. Not sure what is up with the forum. I am still on, but it doesn't pop up recently viewed topics as much. Like, I know I commented on this post a while back but the forum hasn't popped it to the top so I didn't know people were posting here still. Seems it only shows on my screen when you are doing well. Ha ha, I'm sure it's coincidence.
Either way, I read through it and I would have posted sympathies for your marriage, career, and covid issues if I had seen it. And still, the elections continue to divide the nation. So frustrating. Why does it have to be such a politically charged year on top of everything. We don't need the added stress!! Let's push through this year together! |

I agree about the political climate. It’s stressing me out on top of everything else. Some days I’m so down I have to just crawl into my bed. Other days I can be more productive. Today is a productive day - two interviews tomorrow. But yeah - it’s been far too much to cope with: tight finances, covid, unemployment, politics and marital strains. Today we’re better and back to normal. Every day though there seems to be great stress, overall. It’s not easy. It’s just plain awful. __________________ "Twenty-five years and my life is still trying to get up that great big hill of hope for a destination" ~4 Non Blondes |

Well, I finally cracked and lost it the other night. I won't get into all the details, but I was inebriated and caused trouble at home. Granted, things at home have involved several problems with my husband, and I was reacting to that, but I definitely cracked.
I am not feeling my best these days. I wonder if anyone is? A girlfriend kind of snapped at me the other day while talking about the issues I have with my husband. I know she's under great stress too, working 10 hours a day in healthcare/nursing. She didn't really snap - she sounded snippy and was short with me. I felt like I was frustrating her. I try not to burden her with my troubles and call her every few weeks or once per month and that's it. I am worried about myself and my mental health right now. I am not faring well. I will not be drinking much going forward. __________________ "Twenty-five years and my life is still trying to get up that great big hill of hope for a destination" ~4 Non Blondes |

Good idea about not drinking. Hopefully when things go back to normal with pandemics and when you get a job, things will get better. Have to hope for that. Situation with your husband seems on and off too stressful. Not sure what the solution is. Good luck with job interviews

We know the pandemic is not getting better and is not going away anytime soon. This will be ongoing for quite some time still. A job will come along, one of these days. It just has to - I have a second interview Monday for a job I'm very enthused about. I need to rock this interview. And things with my husband were great for several months until just recently. It is very stressful, and I am not sure what to do myself. I keep delaying getting a couples therapist, and I know one is very much needed. I've been so focused on my job search that everything else is taking a back seat. All I know right now is that I need a job and then we need a therapist for our marital issues. I am exhausted and strung out. __________________ "Twenty-five years and my life is still trying to get up that great big hill of hope for a destination" ~4 Non Blondes |

I am studying for my interview on Monday and I'm really having trouble concentrating. I have to compartmentalize, I guess.
Everything just sucks right now - everything. I feel like crying, going fetal and crawling into a ball. __________________ "Twenty-five years and my life is still trying to get up that great big hill of hope for a destination" ~4 Non Blondes |

Can your husband help with quizzing your for the interview? What are you trying to study though? Like specific things? Are they asking for a presentation/lesson/pitch/portfolio of sorts? Otherwise what do they want you to study. People either know their stuff or they don’t, how much could people study a day before the interview?
Could it be better just relax and have fun over the weekend and then go to interview refreshed? |
