I am having issues with impatience. I have no more reserve of patience.

Yesterday I had an appointment with a doctor. Not even a real doctor a natural path. I was told to get there 15 minutes early for paperwork. I did, but, there wasn't any. So that was a waste of my time.

The time of my appointment came and went. Everyone in the lobby was taken back. I asked the front desk what was happening and they told me.. the doctor was just finishing up with the prior client.

It was now 20 minutes past the appointment time. I had expected the appointment to take 20 minutes or less. I had been there for 35 minutes.

I got up and left. I am sure I will be charged, but I was so angry. I know on some level that was foolish but lately I just cannot deal with people disrespecting me. You might say, well 20 minutes, but I have been in these situations before where the 20 minutes turns into an hour and I had commitments -- the doctor being late put me under pressure. You wrap up with a patient in 5 minutes. In 20 minutes you take a nap. I am so tired of people not being on time. While, at my workplace if I am 2 minutes late I get a ton of e-mails screeching, are we still on?

But I realize this is destructive behavior... now I can't go back to that place.

It happens to me as well. i Believe you are actually right but unfortunately Doctors and Medical Professionals can have busy Lives. Still, i agree that it gets frustrating. Have You tried to find some ways to pass the Time in these occasions? Perhaps some techniques to Help You relax as well. Are You seeing a Therapist? SEnding many safe, warm hugs to BOTH You, @NatalieJastrow, Your Family, Your FriEnds and ALL of Your Loved Ones! Keep fighting and keep rocking NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, OK?!

Hm. Kind of sounds unprofessional on their part. Maybe you could call them on the phone and explain to them what happened? Then you wouldn't have to be done with this place. You would have options, I mean, you could decide whether to stay with them or not.

I probably did because I never thought what would occur would occur. I have not received a bill but if I do I won't be paying it.

I know they thought was crazy but I have lost my ability to deal with that any longer.

Next time what they should do is take me back on time and let me stew in a gown.

Patience is a skill. Its a fruit of spirit. Its important to be patient, because without patience life will be much harder and a drag and the desire to end life is more possible. You need to work on patience, practice makes perfect. Start trying by cooking something or making a hot drink and take it from there. Try walking to the gym or working out at a set time.
