Is anyone else ashamed when other people see how you feel? If someone notices that I seem happy, excited, angry etc I feel instant shame and try to squish the feeling away. Now no one can tell when I'm enjoying or hating something.
Not sure what is making this happen, does anyone have any ideas? |

I know the feeling. Since I was a little girl I never liked to be seen crying. I didn’t mind being seen happy. I’m in my 30s now and I’ve worked thru some things. But the only ones I feel comfortable crying in front of is my husband and my mother. I think it had something to do with growing up with four brothers and a father that didn’t show much affection.

Thanks, yes stuff has happened, I'm ok with crying in front of my therapist. But it happens with positive emotions a lot, like I won't show I enjoy something or that I'm happy. It's too embarrassing.
